WARNING, WARNING, WARNING! 2015 DUES ARE ABOUT PAST DUE.
Legion Dues are $35, Auxiliary Dues are $25, SAL Dues are $15, all due by December 31st, 2015.
January 1, 2016, National dues portion goes up $5 per member! So $40 for AL dues.

The SAL now meets on the first Monday of each month. Spread the word and come join us.
Saturday Morning Breakfasts are now over.
Breakfasts all you can eat are now over for the 2014-2015 season. The Breakfast crew (pictured left) Dick Root, Larry Moeggenberg and Bob Paksi (Jeff, missing in this picture), thanks you for your support of veterans and hoped you enjoyed a great breakfast. If not, you missed a great time and a great meal. Bye!

Operation CARE is over for the year 2014, it was a good year. Thank you, to all who helped in setup and standing a watch.
Operation CARE is where the American Legion Post 153 stands a post at the public rest stop on US 127 between Dewitt and St. Johns. We hand out free cups of coffee and donuts to weary holiday drivers and family on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day weekends. We also have free cups of ice tea, lemonade and ice water.
HELP THE LEGION WITH TEXAS HOLD'EM
Texas Hold'em is the Legion's BIG fund raiser for the year. We only do it 16 days a year (max). Sign up sheet is in the Lounge, please help the Legion and volunteer. Texas Hold'em is at Trippers in Frandor. We need 16 people. Future dates are TBA. Help us out, please.

Honoring Our Veterans
Annual Veterans' Day Observance Parade, Wednesday, November 11, 11 am.
The parade goes from Wilson Center through downtown St. Johns to the Veterans' Memorial. A free luncheon will be provided for Veterans and their family after the Veterans' Day ceremony, at the American Legion Hall on Walker Street.
Veterans' Day Celebration, Wednesday, November 11, 2:30 pm.
Held at Hazel Findlay Country Manor, Main Dining Room, St. Johns. Veterans and their spouses are invited to attend. Each veteran is recognized for their contributions to our country and receives a pin and certificate of appreciation Please RSVP: 989-224-8936.
